SIT is a company that has evolved constant, confident and uniformly since its foundation, maintaining leadership in Spain on its various bussines fields related with fine arts and cultural patrimony. In the 1970s, temporary exhibitions became popular in the art world on an international basis. SIT has lead the incorporation of Spain in these events and trends and has participated in cultural events that have marked these years in the history of Spain. Past experiences included the return of Pablo Picasso’s Guernica, the relocation of the Egyptian Temple of Debod, and the great exhibitions celebrated within the last years. SIT relates to a wide network of clients and end-users formed by Museums, Private Collections, Foundations and Public Institutions.

Key Persons

 

Ana Tabuenca García holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Universidad Complutense, Madrid) and an Expertise in Restoration of Cultural Heritage. She is the Manager of the Fine Arts Department at SIT TRANSPORTES INTERNACIONALES, S.A. She is in charge for the logistical organization, direction & submission of financial bids as well as invoicing. She also cares the management of the Fine Art Departments in Madrid, Bilbao, Seville, Santiago de Compostela & Barcelona. She is a member of the CEN work group for the European Regulation of Packing and Transport of Artworks, and the representative of SIT in the PROPAINT European Project. She is also a member of the Art Team group.


Guillermo Andrade holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (1980-1985) and a Master’s Degree in Museology granted by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) – Mexico. He is the Conservator / Restorer of SIT Transportes Internacionales SL and, since 2002, the Coordinator of Consultoría Museológica S.L., Madrid. His previous professional experiences include position of Head Restorer of the Franz Mayer Museum (Decorative Arts Museum) Mexico City (from 1989 to 1992) and Deputy Director for Collections of the Franz Mayer Museum, Cultural Thrust of Central Bank of Mexico (from 1992 to 2002). He was guest speaker invited by the J. Paul Getty Conservation Institute at the Museum Meeting in the Louvre Museum and at the UNESCO’s Meeting on Museums and he periodically participates as a guest speaker for Master Programs about Museums in Spain.
